Naishi Foundation was formed as a result from the outbreak of COVID-19. Most of the people in Tanzania depend on tourism, and with the world observing travel restrictions, its impact led to many not meeting their daily needs such as food, shelter, and clothing.
Naishi has developed programs that will elevate people’s standard of living. Fundraising supports these programs.
What We Do
Naishi Foundation sponsors meals for several different some orphanages in Moshi, Tanzania. The direct benefits are Msamaria Children Center and Upendo Orphanage. With regularity, we visit the centers and provide them with food for the children.
We also sponsor education for children who are motivated to continue their schooling but cannot afford tuition. These children vary from primary level students to those at the university level, Manyof these children are from very poor families, and others are from the orphanages so we ensure they are provided with the same education just like those from advantaged families.
Naishi also provides shelter to some children without a home. We link these children with reputable orphanages and children homes whereby we are monitor their safety as we sponsor them during their time in the facility.
2022 Goals
- Sponsor food supply to two orphanages and twelve poor families
- Covering tuition fees for twenty students
- Providing loans to five women's groups
- Conducting monthly seminars in the slums and schools on HIV/AIDS awareness, education, and prevention

Founder and Managing director
Deo was born and raised in Tanzania and holds a Barchelor of Arts in Co-operative Management and Accounting. Having finished his studies, he worked over five years as a country coordinator representing several organizations abroad. During his time as a coordinator, he was able to organize volunteer work in orphanages, schools, and hospitals, conduct seminars in the slums on HIV aids awareness, built a library in Njoro slums, facilitated sponsorship for children in vulnerable conditions, and developed food programs for orphanages around Moshi.
From that experience, he emerged the passionate collaborating with his community to develop with Naishi Foundation in order to meet the needs of the people in his community.
