Simply, we are driven to help our community.
We sponsor women's groups to raise them out of poverty.
We work on educating our community through AIDS awareness and education.
We help our community attend school.
We assist two orphanages who depend upon us for help with food and other necessities.
100% of your donation stays with Naishi Foundation to serve our community.
Currently, the office expenses account for 5% of our overall expenses, so the majority of your donation directly helps the people who need it most.Msamaria Orphanage for Street Children
Msamaria Orphanage for Street Children serves a variety of children, ages five and through secondary school.
Some of them live on-site full time; others may have extended family they can visit during school holidays.
All, however, depend upon donations to assist with food and school fees. In an effort to move toward self-sustainability, Msamaria raises chickens to sell to local hotels and restaurants.
Upendo Orphanage
Upendo, which means "love" in Swahili, is the heart and sould of Upendo Orphanage in Moshi. Most of the residents are younger than three years old. Run by Catholic nuns and volunteers, the facility has on-site gardens, laundry and cooking facilities, and livestock.
A self-contained environment with living facilities for the nuns and long-term volunteers, they depend on donations to purchase milk to feed the babies.
